How bad would it feel to be Michelle Madigan right now after her brutal unveiling at the 2007 Defcon conference. Hoping to catch out some hackers confessing to their crimes the only one caught out ended up being Michelle herself.
This is how it played out and we also have video footage of the drama unfolding. DEFCON staff announced the “spot the undercover reporter� game and advised the audience that there was an undercover reporter trying to catch out someone confessing to a crime. As soon as she new her cover had been blown Michelle Madigan ran for cover followed by a pack of DEFCON conference goers and reporters all trying to record her unladylike exit.
As we understand it Michelle Madigan was trying to do a shock piece for NBC Dateline to demonstrate to America how criminal underground hackers had descended on DEFCON Las Vegas to increase their knowledge of the dark arts of hacking.
