Make Money Blogging with PayU2Blog

June 5th, 2007 · No Comments

In my experience with paid post blogging (which is quite extensive having tried just about every sponsored post company that there is! ) my favourite is PayU2Blog. These guys mean that its actually fun to Make Money Blogging as they have got a great set up where they assign you posts on a weekly basis often and they pay you every couple of weeks.

Now such is the consistency with these guys that I now count on them for some of my income, I normally expect to get at least $50 a fortnight from PayU2Blog.

Every week they have a competition where they draw one lucky bloggers name out of a hat, and that blogger wins $100. I suggest that you head along and see the guys at PayU2Blog, there’s money to be made.

Bloggerwave - A great way to make money online

June 4th, 2007 · No Comments

Bloggerwave is a new company that are now ready to help bloggers make money online. I have already taken up one of these opportunities on my other site and can confirm that I have been successfully paid by Bloggerwave.

The format of this site is similar to other sponsored sites that I have used. Once registered and when your blog is approved you can login and select from the available opportunities. You need to write the article and once the Bloggerwave team has checked and approved it you will be paid the following month.

At the time of myself joining there were 3 available companies I could blog about, having two blogs helps to increase the amount of money that can be made.

Work From Home With PayPerPost Direct

May 30th, 2007 · No Comments

One way that you can attract Advertisers to your site and let someone else do all the hard work in the background is by taking advantage of PayPerPost Direct. This is a great way to earn money from your blogs.

How does PayPerPost Direct work?
PayPerPost works on the idea that you attract an advertiser to your Blog, they see the badge on your site and want a post done by you for them. The payment is sorted out through PayPerPost and they can use their existing account with them if they have one, or alternatively pay by credit card.

How does it stack up to other similar systems?
PayPerPost are by far the cheapest of the three main sites that offer this kind of system. Reviewme charge a 50% fee so if you do a review for $30 you will only get $15. Sponsored Reviews charge 35% however PPP Direct only charge a 10% service fee and nearly half of this is paypal and creditcard fees. It makes sense that because you the reviewer are doing all the work, so why shouldn’t you get most of the payment.

How to add the PPP Direct system to your Blog
You already need to be a PayPerPost blogger and if you are you simply go into “my blogs” and choose the option to install the PPP tools. There is a small amount of code that you will need to add to the template of your site.

Summary
This is a great addition to PayPerPosts platform, and a fantastic way for Bloggers to keep the majority of the money they earn, yet still have the support of the solid systems provided by the PayPerPost framework.

Work from Home - You need to run it like a business

May 27th, 2007 · No Comments

If you decide that you would like to earn money from websites, or Blogs and work from home you really need to run it like a business. These are three key areas that you really need to look at if you are going to be successful.

Targets
You need to have clear targets that help map out for you exactly where you are trying to go. This may be broken down to per site targets and overall targets to ensure that there is no doubt over the direction you are heading.

Tasks
I find it very helpful to set out clear tasks that are carried out on a weekly or daily basis. Without this kind of reinforcement it is very easy for sites or blogs to lose their momentum and begin to slip/slide down the path to nowhere.

Quick Wins approach to time management
Make sure that if you have a set of tasks that require doing, to knock off a few quick win tasks before attacking the longer term and much more difficult and time consuming tasks. This means that you can then gain some sort of satisfaction from these smaller wins as you work to completing the larger mission.

Summary
If you want to make money you need to run your empire like a business, create as many different income streams as you can and start to build the business bit by bit. Keep control of your expenses and try to spend your time working on the business rather than in the business.

Good Luck!

Blogger Politics - Who should be President?

May 24th, 2007 · No Comments

Every day we hear people talking about George Lindemann or other politicians. However if we had to choose a President for the Blogging World who would it be? Here are the top 2 candidates that I would vote for…

Jeremy Schoemaker
This guy is the Bees Knees of Blogging and if we were looking for a President he would be my first choice. Honest, not afraid to take action and obviously very smart. The only problem is that he could upset half the population by telling them straight what they are doing wrong. (some don’t want to hear it).

Yaro Starak
Yaro is the kind of guy that everyone can identify with - if you read his story you can check out how he worked part time on a University helpdesk while making money online. I can see that Yaro’s empire is just about to take off as he is about to launch his Blog Mastermind system, something that can take want to be Bloggers to the next level. Yaro lives in Australia which makes him easy to identify and relate to from my position in NZ.

Who would you vote for if there was an election held next week? Or do you have another candidate that can be added to the list.

Using a SEO Tool to Optimize the Title for your Articles

April 29th, 2007 · No Comments

It is important when you write an article for your site that you take a decent amount of time when it comes to choosing the best title for it. I suggest you initially give the article whatever title first comes to mind and the proceed to create the rest of your post. Once the post is finished take a couple of the keywords that are pertinent to the article and use one of the keyword suggestion tools from the SEO Tools section on this site and make sure the words that you are using are popular ones.Â

Now this is obvious sure, but you would be amazed at the results that this can have. On one of my Blog sites I was in the process of moving a whole heap of old articles that I had written from one site to another and in the process optimized each of the titles in the manner that we have discussed. This can have a great effect on the traffic that you end up receiving and if your sites income is based on that traffic then its going to pretty quickly convert into dollars.

This very article you are reading now has an optimized title, it initially read “Optimizing your Article Titles by Using Keywords” however by checking the tools that are available to us all it soon became apparent that by using the words “SEO Tool” as part of the title there is a reasonable chance that its going to be picked up well by the search engines.

Results for keyword SEO:

Ten Blogs Now Signed up the Sir Bloggers Easy Post System

April 3rd, 2007 · No Comments

We now have 10 Blogs signed up that are interested in Freelancing out their Posts. Thanks to the Bloggers involved for declaring their interest in the Program. If you would be interested in making some money out of Freelancing your posts you can read more about it here Sir Bloggers Easy Posts.

For my own online empire it has been a very frantic start to the month, A number of Reviews and Sponsored Posts have come through so that’s kept me busy - also it keeps things ticking over. The SEO changes that have been made to the Job Hunters Aussie site has been replicated through to the NZ site as well, it looks like Google has not yet re-indexed these sites so they are not yet showing up for the key words Job Search, however hopefully over the next few weeks this should start to improve things.

I have learnt a massive amount about SEO over the last few weeks, by reading articles and listening to Podcasts, there are some great podcasts from the Mr-Seo site as well as SEO Rockstars which you can download from WebmasterRadio.

Its amazing some of things you can learn from these guys, they know there stuff and the more you learn about SEO the better you can incorporate it into your sites.

10 Rules a Blogger Down Under Should Abide By

March 18th, 2007 · No Comments

Often it is hard to know what is the right thing to do, or what not to do in the world of blogging. Here at the Sir Blogger Blog we have put together 10 Rules for Bloggers down under.

1. Don’t lie, trick or try and deceive your readers into clicking or signing up for anything - if it is an affiliate link mark it as so, or at least mention it in your post.

2. Announce a sponsored post as a sponsored post. Unless you would have written about it anyway. If the sponsored post requires that you do not say this, don’t do it. (Its like selling your soul)

3. Give back to the community. Remember when you started out how bigger and better sites did you the favour of linking to you, do the same within reason of course. (i.e if they only have a couple of posts its a good incentive to promise them a link if they work on their content)

4. Be open - use your name and your picture. Think of the best bloggers out there, everyone knows their name and what they look like - if you want to play with the big boys, you need to follow their example.

5. Post regularly, at least 2 or 3 times a week. Readers will soon give up on a blog that is irregularly updated. We will however give you a week off at Christmas! Otherwise get in a guest blogger!

6. You shall not steal. If you are intent on borrowing someone else’s idea or text, make sure you link back to them and preferably ask their permission first of all. Stealing content from other blogs is the lowest form of low, so don’t do it OK!

7. Treat your fellow Bloggers with respect. You will find that if you do this, and take the time out to learn and participate in your fellow bloggers sites, it will return to you tenfold.

8. Learn from your mistakes. If you make a post and get flamed for it you are probably upsetting someone. Change your tact. If somethings not working change it. If it is working enhance it and keep it.

9. Honour your family. Blogging is cool however it is also time consuming. Remember at the end of the day your family is more important so make sure that you spend time with them and remind yourself of that everyday - without the support of your family you are nothing.

10. Be true to yourself. If its not working give it away. There is nothing worse than slaving away for less than minimum wage if its not really performing for you. Don’t be afraid to say enough is enough. If you don’t enjoy it, stop doing it.

I’ve got a Blog Down Under…

March 12th, 2007 · 1 Comment

For a while now I have been trying to figure out a niche topic for this blog, and I think I have finally got there. For several years I have had an interest in making money online and although I am far from a dot com millionaire it has been possible to make a few dollars here and there from my online efforts - what is a little different from most sites like this is that this has all be done from my base in Auckland NZ.

The problem is that in the Blogosphere you tend to become lost amongst all the other money making sites out there and it is easy to lose focus from your core subject - so I have decided to specialize on the Australia and New Zealand Blogging and Online opportunities that are available to us. We will concentrate on Blogs from this side of the world - as well as affiliate programs that are available to us. Blogging is new to a lot of Kiwis and Australians so this site will help us all to catch up with the rest of the Online World.

If you have a blog and are from NZ or Australia not only do we want to exchange links you - we would like to review your site and see what it can offer other Bloggers from our side of the world. We are only interested in Blogs that have been going for 3 months or more (means you have stickability). To contact us please leave a comment.
