The shock news today is that the death of teen track star Arielle Newman was caused by the overuse of an over the counter muscle cream.
In addition to spreading the cream on her legs, Arielle was using adhesive pads containing the product, as well as some other 3rd party product that had the chemical methyl salicylate present.
The girls mother is understandable distraught and cannot believe that her daughters death was caused by a product brought over the counter.
